Burl is a farmer-driven restaurant in Evanston, Illinois, centered around seasonal Midwestern ingredients and a dining experience rooted in local partnerships and intentional design.

Working alongside interior design firm Siren Betty, our team helped bring the furniture portion of the Burl concept together with seating selections that complemented the overall vision while meeting the practical needs of the project.

Throughout the Burl project, we worked closely with Siren Betty to help identify seating options that balanced design, comfort, budget, and lead time.

Rather than relying solely on specifications and imagery, we hand-delivered multiple furniture samples from our showroom so the designers and end user could complete in-person sit tests before making their final selections. This gave the team an opportunity to experience the furniture firsthand and confidently choose models that worked for both the aesthetic and operational needs of the restaurant.

The final furniture package included G&A Henry Chairs and GAR Hangen Barstools.

We also assisted with vinyl selection, providing samples and helping the design team identify graded-in factory options. By selecting materials already available through the manufacturer, the team was able to simplify the specification process and save valuable time without sacrificing the intended look of the space.
